We sampled three flavours that evening - Spicy Fennel, Citrusy Coriander, and Fiery Cinnamon. I didn't quite like the Spicy Fennel as the smell of fennel was a little over powering. Citrusy Coriander was... well like Limca mixed with Kingfisher Ultra and some corriander flavour thrown in - therefore not much to my liking. What I actually loved was Fiery Cinnamon. I love cinnamon and that slightly burning note in the brew made it perfect for my taste. And I felt that it also complemented the mutton kebab and gosht haleem. So this weekend I would definitely recommend you try this new brew - also the weather is just perfect for it!
Having said that, however, I have to admit that while Indus Pride beers are innovative and interesting, I love the beer drink my husband stirs up for me (and I am sipping at while writing this!). Basically it is Fosters or Budwiser with a slice of lime and a slit green chilly. There is another variation that HE makes which is with a stick of cinnamon, orange rind and a dash of cayenne pepper. This is quite similar to Indus Pride's Fiery Cinnamon flavour but again I have to say I like our homemade version better. It's a great drink on winter evening. Tip: Serve it up during card parties this Diwali and let me know what your guests have to say!
